|H.E. Ambassador Wu Jianghao Presented at the Celebration of 2013 Mid-Autumn Festival and 64th New China National Day|
The Celebration of 2013 Mid-Autumn festival and China’s 64th National Day, organized by Confucius Institute at University of Kelaniya (CIUK) of Sri Lanka, was held at Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies(BCIS) in the evening of 18th September 2013. Mr. Wu Jianghao, Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr. Perare, Secretary to Deputy Minister of Higher Education of Sri Lanka, Prof. Lakshman Sevevirathna, Dean of Faculty of Humanities of University of Kelaniya, Mr. Hou Wanchun, Director of CIUK, the teachers, volunteers and students of the CIUK as well as the representatives from the other circles of Sri Lanka , totally over 130 people, participated the function.
The teachers and students of CIUK performed amazing Chinese and Sri Lankan ethnic singing and dancing programmes, showing Chinese martial arts, tea arts, calligraphy, paper-folding and Huangmei opera, reciting the Chinese poems themed of the Mid-Autumn Day. The guests also enjoyed the Chinese moon cakes and delicious Chinese food with great interests.
